VaCAP has received a message from the family of Ken Harney, Real Estate Syndicated Columnist:
“Dear Friends,
It is with great sadness that I write to you to tell you that Ken’s disease has progressed to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and that as of today, we are in the care of hospice at home. We both want to thank you for all your prayers, your interest and concern and for the many years of friendship you have extended to us.
Happily we are surrounded by our four children and our home is filled with love. Ken is not up to receiving visitors but I will share any thoughts with him that you want to send to him via my email. Thank you all for being so supportive and attentive especially these last few years.”
As most of you know, Ken Harney is a friend and advocate for Real Estate Appraisers. He has quoted VaCAP President Pat Turner many times and always includes the appraiser perspective as well as others in his writings. VaCAP is saddened to hear this news and is keeping Ken and his family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
